Our Vision
We envision a nation that grows wiser by advancing the discussion of citizen leadership in America. We envision a country that has the courage to provide returning veterans with the resources and support to become citizen leaders here at home. We envision communities that have the compassion to unite veterans and their fellow citizens in shared service.
Our Mission
To empower wounded and disabled veterans as citizen leaders and to unite veterans and their fellow citizens in shared service to the nation.
We accomplish our mission through three programs: The Mission Continues, Leading the Charge, and Explorations in Leadership.

About the Center
The founding directors of the Center for Citizen Leadership bring years of experience and service to
the organization. Their service stretches across civil and military affairs, government service in
legislative, executive, and judicial branches, international humanitarian efforts, and juvenile justice
service, youth service, and involvement with veterans’ organizations.
Our Chairman, Eric Greitens, founded the Center with his hazardous duty pay from his service in Iraq as a US Navy SEAL from October 2006 to April 2007. It was in speaking with youth audiences and veterans that he came to believe that
there was a tremendous demand for opportunities for service and leadership like those which the
Center offers.
The Center for Citizen Leadership has also formed partnerships to assist our Mission Continues fellows find service opportunities that are meaningful to them and needed in their communities. Learn more about our partners.
